About me and my therapy practice
I am a person centred therapist who works in an integrative way to help clients identify issues and achieve their personal goals. Together with clients we develop coping strategies for dealing with the issues that are causing them to feel distress, anxiety and stressed. I take great pride in the progress and success of my clients, and feel privileged to support and walk alongside clients through their issues.
Practice description
I hold 50 minute sessions with individuals in a safe and confidential environment which could be in my therapy room, online, over the phone or via text. I encourage clients to look at their choices and find their own way to make a positive change in their life. I do most of my work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, ADHD or bullying.
The ideal client is someone who wants help, they may not understand exactly why but know that change is needed. They may need help with relationships, problems of everyday living or traumas and crises.
My first session
I always start with an Initial Telephone consultation
Around 30 minutes in length, where we briefly discuss your needs and stress points. Nothing will be finalised during this discussion, but it will allow us both to understand how well we fit together and what our journey will involve.
Then the first session always involves contracting where we discuss confidentiality, safety and any questions or things you want to clarify before starting. This usually takes about 5 - 10 minutes. Then you decided where the journey begins.
